Armaghan Academy

Armaghane established his academy in 2022 in line with his social responsibility in the field of development and promotion of organic agriculture.
The purpose of establishing the academy is to support research and research projects as well as participate in events related to organic agriculture in order to develop and increase the productivity of production products.
Armaghane Academy also organizes training courses to increase the level of knowledge and familiarity of farmers and producers with organic products on an ongoing basis.
These activities are part of Armaghane’s measures to promote organic agriculture and empower farmers and those involved in this field.

Organic Asia Congress

Organic Asia Congress was unforgettable Experience for everyone!
The 6th Organic Asia Congress organized by IFOAM Asia and hosted by the Municipality of Kauswagan, in the Philippines.
The OAC’s theme “Building world peace through organic agriculture – food security vital to peacebuilding” embraced a wide range of topics related to organic agriculture. These included climate change, innovation, sustainable fisheries, organic rice production, social inclusion, and rural revitalization. The event served as a platform for knowledge exchange and collaborative discussions, facilitating the sharing of best practices and innovative solutions to address pressing agricultural and developmental challenges. It provided us with an experience of the transformative power of organic agriculture for societal change.
It was my pleasure to be part of this wonderful event, selected as one of the main speakers and present my project entitled Empowering Organic Saffron (Crocus sativus L.) smallholder farmers to scale up food security through grower group certification in Iran.

International Leadership Workshop for Rural Youth

Last year, I had the chance to join other 76 change makers from over 50 different countries as one of the participants who attended in the 31st International Leadership Workshop for Rural Youth from 09th of August 2023 to 23rd of August 2023 in the Bavarian Farmers’ Association center, Munich, Germany.

Apart from all valuable materials and information regarding methods of groupwork works, creativity techniques, motivation, leadership behavior and challenges that leaders face that have been shared with us it was my great pleasure to state and discuss some topics and innovative ideas about organic saffron production in a dried area specially Iran where I was born and raised.

Saffron as the most expensive spice in the world, has a special situation among Iran’s export products. The history of saffron planting in Iran goes back to more than 3,000 years. Iran has been known as “the world’s first and largest producer and exporter of saffron”, with a 92-95% share of world production.

Recently, I received a short report from the organizer that I decided to share some pages with you. It seems Iran’s first certified organic district for saffron is not an idea anymore 🙂

My special thanks of gratitude to the German Federal Office for Agriculture and Food and my wonderful facilitator Charlotte Karibuhoye.

Organic Europe Youth

I successfully participated in organics Europe Youth Event in Frick, Switzerland in 2022. It was 3 very intense days, with inspiring speakers & empowering interactions. Organics Europe was such a great experience and we had great interactions at OEYE2022 discussion session! Participants have been exchanging about challenges of sustainable foodsystems and engaging youth in organic. I extremely enjoyed of Mr. Rob Hopkins’s speech about climate change and his keynote: “Imagination is key to get to fresh solutions to the current crises. We can do much in a really short period of time and it’s crucial we act now.” Meanwhile, amazing workshops organized by FiBL and I attended in the Hidden Heroes (Mycorrhizae/rhizobia and other heroes in the soil for soil fertility greatly presented by Dr. Sarah Petris-Symanczik) and achieved unforgettable experience during her presentation and my visit of FiBL’s exceptionally modern laboratories in Frick. Finally, I would like to give my special thanks to the organizers IFOAM Organics Europe, Research Institute of Organic Agriculture FiBL & Bio Suisse that connected the next EU organic generation and held quality & transforming conversations!
